Answer 3 for NUR 590 Do you foresee any issues with the proposed implementation of your project?

The implementation of the proposed project can encounter many barriers or issues that may affect the attainment of its set goals. In their article, Vax et al. (2021) observe that enhancing organizational readiness to implement change implores stakeholders and the change management team to predict issues that may hinder the effectiveness and working of the team. The possible issues that may emerge during the implementation include resistance to change, limited resources, poor communication, and group dynamics, especially in the forming phase of the multidisciplinary team that will implement the proposed intervention. For instance, resistance to change is a common issue that occurs within a setting when implementing new interventions as employees may be uncertain of the future and seek the status quo. Limited resources and support from the organizational management could be an issue since additional resources require allocation and may disrupt the current situation (Gabutti et al., 2023). For example, the project requires time, funding, and personnel which implies that it must get from the management. Poor communication can hinder messaging and acceptance from the staff as they will not be aware of the goals and aspirations of all stakeholders.

A core strategy to create or sustain a better level of readiness to change within the organization is effective communication. Having effective communication channels will enable the project team to engage all stakeholders, inform them about the benefits of the project, and get an acceptance. In their study, Vax et al. (2021b) advanced that engaging stakeholders and giving the right information are critical to implementing change and ensuring that organizations are ready for implementation. As such, these strategies can only materialize through effective communication.

Research and literature will be essential in ensuring that change is based on current evidence. Therefore, current research will entail conducting a review of the literature to get evidence that the change will be beneficial to the population and help address the healthcare problem (Gabutti et al., 2023). The current literature will offer present and evidence-based justification to implement the proposed intervention based on the assessment of organizational readiness to implement change results.
