Answer for NRS 465 Week 6 Capstone Change Project Resources

The implementation of capstone change projects requires sufficient resources. Implementing purposeful hourly rounding in the selected health setting and patient population to reduce and prevent falls requires sufficient resources from the organization and healthcare providers (Anu, 2021). Upon discussion with the preceptor and based on the context of the practicum site, the following resources would be necessary to implement the proposed capstone project.

The first and critical resource is human resources comprising nurse educators and trainers who shall offer a session for nurses on the proposed intervention and its implementation. Having experienced nurses will allow the facility to pass on knowledge to nurses on ways to implement the proposed intervention. The second resource will be sufficient information and data based on existing literature about the efficacy of the proposed intervention. The resource will be critical to improving understanding and implementation of the proposed intervention as it will demonstrate its significance to nursing practice and patient care outcomes (Davis et al., 2023). The third resource would be audio-visual and portable devices and technologies. These include mobile devices, the Internet, laptops, and projectors to enhance learning and dissemination of information to nurses before they implement the intervention. Fourthly, financial resources through funding of the proposed intervention will ensure the training of nurses to attain competencies to implement the best strategies in purposeful hourly rounding.

The fifth resource required to implement the proposed intervention is time which is rare yet very critical. Nurses require sufficient time after training to integrate the purposeful hourly rounding and educate patients on the importance of self-reporting when they fall, especially while in the facility (Gliner et al., 2022). These resources are essential to attain better outcomes from the proposed capstone change project. The resources will ensure all strategies to reduce falls are adopted by the facility and lead to quality care provision.
