Answer 2 for NURS 8310 Week 11 Discussion Evaluating and Sustaining Change
Tiffanie I agree with you that change is inevitable part of social development. Nursing environment continues to evolve to address current and emerging issues. Therefore, change makes a critical part in improving nursing professionalism. However, implementing change is a challenge that leaders experience when spearheading change. Change relies on the future possible positive outcome (Chartier et al., 2019) .Unfortunately, some changes may fail upon its completion. Planning becomes an important part of implementing and sustaining change. People affected by change should understand the reasons that justify the change and its urgency. Frequently, change involves various stakeholders. Collective contribution becomes important in implementing change (Breckenridge et al., 2019). Regrettably, some stakeholders may not be involved due to poor participation. Communication eliminates some barriers that may interfere with change process (Wittmann et al., 2021). Through different stages of change planning and implementation reliable communication should be maintained. Some conflicts that may interfere with the process can be handled in the infancy stages.
