Answer 3 for HLT 362 Discuss ways your organization uses technology to gather patient and health care information, and how this information and data are used to direct patient care and outcomes
Technology is crucial in gathering information to be analyzed and leveraged to promote patient care and outcomes. Currently, the advancement of technology has improved the approach to data storage, retrial and analysis. It streamlines data collection and storage of essential patient data such as medical history, tests, diagnosis, treatment and prior visits (Muhammad Shahzeb Khan et al., 2023). Tools, such as electronic health systems, have also improved how healthcare professionals can place orders, access data and communicate with other providers. Effective technology tools streamline workflows and enhance provider communication, promoting care coordination (Morgan, 2023). Additionally, advancement in technology has improved patients participation in their health. They can use wearable devices that monitor health conditions such as blood pressure and sugar in real time, prompting interventions to reduce the risk of adverse reactions. Overall, integrating technology has enhanced patient care and outcomes by providing accurate and accessible information with minimal errors.
