I agree with you that most healthcare organizations implement evidence-based practice intending to improve the quality and effectiveness of health services. The practice has proven to be trustworthy due to its factual information. The factual details improve the quality of clinical decisions. However, some healthcare institutions struggle to realize the benefits of evidence-based practice (Weisz et al., 2018). Various barriers interfere with the planning and implementation of EBP. For the implementation of evidence-based science to be effective, identification of any barrier that may hinder integration must be resolved across all levels such as individuals in treatment, providers, organizations, and other stakeholder groups (Sun & Medaglia, 2019). Regrettably, other healthcare professionals lack adequate knowledge on using EBP. The workforce incompetence thwart successful implementation and use of evidence-based practice. Strategies to handle most barriers against EBP involves using a competent staff. Healthcare professionals with knowledge on EBP are competent in the implementation process. Besides, these healthcare providers can identify other challenges and participate in addressing identified challenges.
