than 23 years. Her primary role is to provide direct patient care to individuals dealing with a
variety of mental health conditions. This includes conducting assessments, developing care
plans, administering medications, and providing therapeutic interventions. Sharon describes how
her organization operates as a network of clinics and hospitals that include primary care, mental
health services, specialized medical services, and community outreach programs. In this
interview, Nurse Sharon highlighted key issues such as burnout, staffing shortage, and
communication breakdown between care teams. The highlighted issues have resulted in
worsened health outcomes for the patient. Nurse Sharon emphasized the need for mandatory
interdisciplinary training and institutional support to further enhance interprofessional
collaboration. She points out challenges they have encountered in their organization, and how the

result. The issue that will be addressed in this section is burnout among healthcare workers.
